
Laura Wilkes-D’Amato
A South Carolina native, associate attorney Laura Wilkes-D’Amato graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in geology before heading up to Virginia to earn her JD at William & Mary Law School, the oldest and one of the most respected law schools in the nation. While in law school, Laura served as a Senior Articles Editor for the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2019.
Upon graduation, Laura completed a clerkship with the Honorable Carmen T. Mullen of the 14th Judicial Circuit before practicing at a respected regional insurance defense law firm. During her clerkship and her time as a defense lawyer, Laura gained invaluable experience and exposure, giving her a leading edge in advocating for her current clients. Laura’s current law practice is fully devoted to representing life altering injury and death victims in a variety of practice areas, including motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, bicycle accidents, dog bites, and various other areas.
Outside of work, Laura serves on the board of the Charleston network of the William & Mary Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her husband and their two dogs, Sallie and Tillie.
